At Beco, we’ve always believed in offering products that not only make your home cleaner but also make the planet greener. When we first launched our cleaner liquid bottles, our focus was on simplicity and subtlety. The packaging was clean and minimalistic, reflective of our product's straightforward purpose. But as our community of eco-conscious customers grew, so did our need to better communicate the core benefits of our products—not just in function, but also in design.

 

With this goal in mind, we set out to revamp the listing images for our cleaner liquid bottles on Amazon, ensuring that both our product's efficacy and its planet-friendly promise were more visible and engaging than ever.

CLEANERS MADE IT TO AMAZON

Our earlier packaging was subtle, with soft tones and clean fonts, which highlighted the calm and chemical-free nature of our products. While this reflected the safety and eco-friendly essence of Beco, we wanted the packaging to speak louder and draw more attention in a marketplace like Amazon, where first impressions make a huge difference.

 

We knew our bottles needed to pop, and we had a story to tell that wasn’t coming through with our previous design. Enter the revamp. Our cleaning liquids aren’t just your run-of-the-mill detergents or surface cleaners—they are environmentally conscious alternatives to conventional products packed with harmful chemicals. 

At the heart of every Beco product is the belief that we can clean our homes without harming the planet. The revamped listings made it a priority to highlight our formulas, which are made from natural ingredients, biodegradable bio-enzymes, and free from toxic chemicals like phosphates, parabens, and sulfates. We wanted shoppers to immediately understand that Beco cleaning liquids are tough on dirt, but gentle on the environment.

One of the major benefits of Beco's cleaning liquids is their versatility. Whether you’re looking for a solution to keep your floors spotless, your dishes sparkling, or your laundry fresh and clean, Beco’s cleaners get the job done without relying on synthetic chemicals. In our new Amazon images, we clearly featured the range of our products—dishwashing liquid, floor cleaner, and laundry detergent—showing the wide scope of use and effectiveness. Each image showcased its specific use while emphasizing that our entire collection is safe, effective, and eco-friendly.

With families becoming more health-conscious, we wanted to reassure potential customers that Beco products are not only better for the planet but also for their loved ones. Our cleaners are free from harsh toxins that can harm skin or indoor air quality. This was emphasized in our Amazon listings with phrases like “Safe for you, your family, and the planet” appearing prominently in the images.

GREEN AND IMPACTFUL IMAGERY

The redesigned images were crafted with a fresh perspective, moving away from our earlier "sober" approach to a brighter, cleaner, and more vibrant look. We introduced:

  • High-quality product shots: Our bottles are photographed clearly, with each label and its product purpose (dishwashing, laundry, floor cleaning) fully visible. This made the browsing experience on Amazon more intuitive and clear.

  • In-use imagery: Rather than simply showing the bottles, we showed them in action—cleaning countertops, floors, dishes, and laundry. This provided potential buyers with a more realistic understanding of how effective our products are.

  • Icons & text overlays: The revamped listings featured simple, eco-friendly icons that made the product benefits clear at a glance. Whether it’s a visual reminder of the ingredients being biodegradable or plant-based, we made sure these key points were front and center. Text overlays highlighted the products’ unique selling points, like “Eco-friendly formula,” “Toxin-free,” “Natural enzymes,” and “Recyclable packaging.”

Alongside revamping the product listings, we upgraded our Amazon ads with lifestyle shots and clear benefit highlights. The ads featured smiling families, spotless homes, and nature-inspired backdrops, reminding customers that choosing Beco means choosing a cleaner home and a cleaner planet. Each ad had a strong call to action—whether it was urging people to “Go Green with Beco” or emphasizing a product’s eco-friendly, effective cleaning.

At Beco, we understand that every customer touchpoint is an opportunity to communicate our commitment to sustainability. So, when it came to revamping our emailers and banners, we knew that these had to do more than just highlight our products—they had to tell a story, one that connected with eco-conscious customers who care as much about the planet as they do about the quality of their cleaning and personal care products.

The first step in our transformation was reimagining our email campaigns. Initially, our emailers were informative but minimal, often sticking to product images and straightforward information. While effective, they didn’t fully capture the essence of Beco’s eco-friendly mission. So, we took a creative leap, focusing on designs that evoke emotion, inspiration, and action. Each email now paints a clear picture of how our products fit into a larger movement—a greener, more sustainable future.

 

For instance, when promoting our cleaner liquid bottles or bamboo toothbrushes, we used vibrant imagery of nature intertwined with daily home activities. An image of a lush forest might serve as the backdrop for a bottle of Beco floor cleaner, emphasizing how every clean floor is a step toward a cleaner earth. Alongside the visuals, we included compelling copy that explains not just what our products do, but why they matter. Headlines like “Clean with Purpose, Clean with Beco” encourage customers to think about the environmental impact of their choices, while subtexts highlighted product benefits like "biodegradable", "non-toxic", and "plastic-free packaging".

Each email is designed to draw the customer in—carefully curated lifestyle images, simple infographics explaining the eco-friendly aspects of our products, and bold call-to-action buttons urging customers to take the sustainable step with Beco. We also created special themed emailers for occasions like Earth Day or Diwali, where we could emphasize our message of celebrating responsibly with the planet in mind. These emailers became not just product announcements, but tools of education and inspiration for our audience.

Next, we tackled the banners across our website, social media platforms, and digital ad spaces like Amazon. Here, the goal was to make sure that the banners didn’t just highlight our product offerings but conveyed the fun, quirky personality of Beco while delivering a strong message about sustainability.

One of the key changes we made was to shift from simple, static product shots to dynamic, lifestyle-driven banners. Whether it’s our dishwashing liquid or biodegradable garbage bags, the banners now show our products in action—sitting proudly in an eco-friendly kitchen or being used by a smiling family that cares about the planet. Each banner is backed by a nature-inspired palette, using shades of green, earthy browns, and deep blues that speak directly to Beco’s connection with the environment.

We also brought in bold, quirky taglines to inject a sense of fun into our eco-mission. Headlines like “Clean Without Compromise” or “Love at First Wipe” are paired with short, impactful messaging on each banner. For example, our biodegradable garbage bag banners feature phrases like “Trash Talk That’s Eco-Friendly” alongside an image of a bin lined with our compostable bags in a clean, modern kitchen. Each banner is designed to grab attention and quickly inform the viewer that with Beco, going green is both effective and stylish.

The design consistency across all our banners has also been key to creating a cohesive brand identity. Whether a customer is viewing an Amazon listing, scrolling through Instagram, or visiting our website, they encounter the same green-forward messaging and design aesthetic. We introduced natural textures and environmental elements into the background—whether it’s a leaf motif or earthy tones—to keep the visual language of Beco in sync with our core values.

When it came to blending our new brand guidelines with the old packaging, it was crucial that we maintain the essence of what Beco stood for while giving it a fresh and vibrant twist. The old packaging, with its clean and minimalist design, had served us well in communicating the functionality and eco-friendliness of our products. However, it lacked the boldness and personality that we wanted to inject into our new visual identity. The challenge was to transition from the old, sober look to the new black-and-green packaging without losing the trust and recognition we had built with our customers.

 

To bridge this gap, we kept certain key elements from the old packaging, such as the use of earthy, neutral tones and clear product descriptions. This retained the message of simplicity and sustainability that Beco has always stood for. But with the introduction of brighter, more playful green accents and bold typography, we brought in a renewed sense of energy. The black-and-green palette was not just a design choice—it was a statement, symbolizing the combination of bold action (black) with a commitment to nature (green). By carefully blending these elements, we ensured that the transition was seamless, honoring our past while propelling us forward into a more dynamic, engaging brand presence. This new look enhanced not just our product appeal but also strengthened the alignment with our sustainability mission, making it easier for customers to see and feel the impact of their eco-friendly choices.

By revamping the listing images and advertising for our cleaning liquid bottles, we were able to effectively communicate the value and impact of Beco products. We saw a significant boost in customer engagement, with more clicks and better conversions, as shoppers connected with our message of sustainability, safety, and effectiveness.
