Transformation of a Rock Jacket

A basic green leather jacket lay on the racks for over four years. We were confused as to why this piece wasn't catching anyone's eye. After brainstorming, I decided maybe it was time we gave the jacket a makeover with some color. After going through our client list, we shortlisted to a rock theme. And some bright colors.

The overlapping of the skull onto the flap pocket, adds a great effect to the whole jacket. But with the skull that size we decided we should have a simpler artwork on the other side. With a geometric motif that fades into the jacket. A few logos and typography added just the vibe we wanted the jacket to have.

The texture of an Iguana's skin inspired me to try some shaded green for the sleeve. With the Iguana on the bicep we decided to have a compass styled faded effect for the cuff. For the other sleeve, we settled with a stopwatch to complement the compass. With contrasting teal and orange, the white line art is the highlight of the artwork.

The lapel felt empty considering all the work on the front. The texture of snake on leather is very appealing so I decided to go ahead with the texture and gave a faded, vintage look.

Another version of this was made with skulls and heavy rock as the theme.

A few more artworks were tried for the same effect but introducing animals into the mix.
